"The Summer Show"

The Summer Show, as it is fondly known, has been performed by the Group in various venues, Courtown and Gorey since 1967. The performance moved to the Theatre Hall in Gorey in 1986. This is a record unmatched by any other drama group in Ireland, amateur or professional. It has also become part of the rich artistic and cultural life of North Wexford. The Summer Show is designed to entertain both the locals and the many visitors who come to the sunny South East during the holiday months of July and August. 

The 2005 season was the Theatre Group's 39th consecutive show and it featured Bernard Farrell's "Kevin's Bed". It was an outstanding success. Over five thousand people enjoyed the show during the seventeen performances. 2006 will be the 40th year, the play has not been decided yet, but please keep in touch and we look forward to seeing you at next year's show.
