Setting:
Buncrana, Co. Donegal during World War II. Act
1: Scenes 1,2,3:
Kitchen. Act II: 3 months later. Scenes 1, 2,: Kitchen, Garden,
Shore. Act Ill: Scene 1: Kitchen. Scene 2: Shore (afternoon). The
Play: As
the Second World War rages in Europe, in Donegal there is another war
closer to home. In Dolly West's kitchen, the family has its own
conflicts to face as their lives are transformed with the arrival of
Allied Troops across the border in Derry. War changes everything - its
tragedies and its survivals will alter the history of the West family
forever. |

The
Group: Founded
in 1974, the players perform One-Acts in The Wexford Arts Centre during
the annual Wexford Opera Festival. They have had much success on the
Three-Act circuit, qualifying for the All-Ireland many times, coming
second last year in Tubbercurry with "Same Old Moon" by
Geraldine Aron. |
