The
Play: The story
of Behan's younger life when he joins the I.R.A. and is sent to
Liverpool to plant bombs in a shipyard. He gets caught and the play
tells of his harsh treatment in Walton prison and of the great friends
and enemies he made in the Borstal where he was then sent. |

The
Group The Silken
Thomas Players were set up in 1991 and this will be their thriteenth
year on the drama circuit. They won the All-Ireland the first year out
with "Stags and Hens", were placed second with "Bent and
Hatchet" and last year came third at the All-Ireland Drama finals
with" Angels in America". |
