"My Wife's Family" (2002)
My Wife's Family was the choice for the 2002 Summer Show. The house was full to capacity for the last few performances, making this summer season the best ever in the history of the Group overtaking last year's run of "The Field" with over four thousand five hundred people attending over the sixteen nights.

Garry (Doc Knott) & Tomas Lombard (Jack Gay)
Michael Byrne of Kilrush accepted the challenge of putting this very funny, but difficult to perform show, in front of a live audience.
As is usual with Summer Shows, all parts as much as possible are shared, this adds another level of difficulty to the overall production.
This piece is a brief description of how the show was advertised...
This is a very funny play with some wonderful characters as seen in the cast list below. There are the Nagg family, most of them odd in some way, Doc Knott - an old "codger" and an "ex-actress" - "Dolly White" to mention just a few. The laughs come thick and fast when various mix-ups, explosions and situations occur.
The public loved the show and many people came to see it on more than one occasion, in fact one loyal customer came to see it five times.
One critic said: "This year's offering was the funniest show I have seen in years, I would recommend it for an evening of side-splitting laughs for all ages..."
