A Life, 2005

The 2004 Summer Show, Hugh Leonard's famous play "A Life" was staged again on the Festival Circuit in 2005. Pat Connaughton was the Director of the show. 

"A Life" was performed in festivals in, Rush (3rd), Wexford (2nd), Gorey, Carnew (1st), Portadown (2nd), Carrickmore  & New Ross (3rd).

Barbara Byrne has won a Best Supporting Actress award for her performance as "Dolly" in Rush.

The Group staged this play on the Festival Circuit in 1983. One of the cast members from that show appears in the most recent production. Michael Redmond who played Lar back then, played Drumm in this production.

Esther Redmond, Eddie O'Brien, Peter Carton, Michael Heffernan, Ger Comerford, Hugh Duncan and John McGrath were also involved in the show.

For lovers of nostalgia, the cast back in 1983 was as follows: Peig Kinsella (Dolly), Nancy Byrne (Mary), Anna Swords (Mibs), Marion Dolan (Dorothy), David Warren (Drumm), Michael Wafer (Kearns), Ger Dunbar (Desmond), Michael Redmond (Lar).  The Director was Dolores Deacon.
